美術商(株)川田は創業者 川田 力により近代絵画を扱う画廊として1963年に神戸に設立されました。私共は時代に流されることなく、常に名品をご紹介する事を目的とし、半世紀以上の歴史を紡いでこれた事を誇りとしております。

創業以来、百貨店美術部を通じた絵画の販売に力を入れており、近年ではアートフェアの立ち上げ、国内外アートフェア出展などを通じ、才能ある若手作家を発掘し支援することを目標に掲げております。

「人生は短く 芸術は永し　Art is long, life is short.」の諺の如く、皆様の心に響く芸術作品を後世に残し、時代に流されることなく、より一層精進する所存でございます。

Kawata, Co., Ltd. was incorporated in Kobe in 1963 by founder Tsutomu Kawata as a gallery specialized in modern paintings. For more than half a century since its foundation, we have proudly dedicated ourselves to introducing countless masterpieces.

Since the earliest days, our business focused on the sale of paintings through art section of the department stores. More recently, we have been working on the discovery and support of emerging young talents through the launch of original art fairs, as well as participation in art fairs at home and abroad.

Art is long, life is short – in the spirit of this proverb, we continue to commit ourselves to delivering more artworks that resonate with people’s heart for generations to come without losing ourselves in the tide of time.
